David Byrd is the Founder and President of Restoration Ministries. He and his wife Vickie moved to Guatemala and established this non-profit ministry in 2005.
Our vision is to make a difference in the lives of the Mayan Indian people for the Greater Glory of God...
We are doing this through a three phase program beginning with reaching out to their physical needs (giving), allowing us the opportunity to (share) Jesus Christ with them to meet their spiritual needs, and finally training them up to disciple others and meet their mental needs. God has truly called us to "Go into all the world and preach the gospel..."

David and Vickie are from Dallas, Ga and have a wonderful daughter, Melissa, who is currently attending college in pursuit of a degree in nursing. Prior to moving to Guatemala David was in Elementary Education, and Vickie worked as a Medical Secretary.
He graduated from Lee College where he received a degree in Elementary Education. Teaching has always been a passion for David, who also obtained a degree in Theology from Christian Life Theological Seminary.
